VOLUNTEER Signup for the Jessica Van Eyck Clinic

Registration

  • Someone to take responsibility to organize the event and make sure everything is covered. With 2 organizers it would make it easier to divide and conquer. It is helpful if you have a strong sense of responsibly and prepare early so that there is less stress for all involved. Support is available and planner guides with checklist to help with the process. If you are there day of help by doing the lunch run to get sandwich platter or help with rider headsets and speaker system.
  • Receives all the registrants required documents (vaccs/coggins), payments, and registration information before the start of the clinic. Does not include being the day secretary but could if you would like!
  • Someone to pick up our clinic supplies (banners, chairs, table, speaker system, etc) in Delanson, NY & deliver them to the clinic site & set up what we can ahead of time (banners, tables, etc). A couple people would be perfect.
  • Checks in riders and clarifies any outstanding items at check-in (release, payment, vaccs, coggins). 99% of this is taken care of by the before event secretary so there is not much to do the day of in this regard.
    Pick up sandwich platter at Hannaford and set up platter on table or assign someone else to pick up sandwiches. Clean-up/pack up lunch supplies after lunch.
    Helps ring stewart with headsets for speaker system & to make sure auditors can hear clinician if ring steward needs help. Take pictures of auditors, riders, & volunteers and send to Facebook and website organizers. Need 1 person for the day or 2 people to each split the day. Sign up even if position filled so that we have back-up in case of an emergency.
  • Help keep the ring moving & assist riders putting on their headsets for speaker & Lendon. Help secretary with check in, speaker system, parking. Make sure auditors can hear clinician teach & let the clinician know if her headset needs to be adjusted. Basically you will be an extra pair of hands to help out as a ring steward & to help day secretary in ways they are needed as things come up. Sign up even if you are on the waitlist so we have back up in case of an emergency cancelation.

Only help left that we need is someone to transfer our speaker and supplies to the next clinic May 23 in Saratoga.
