How to enter:

-Review the Rules & Requirements for videoing instructions, arena requirements and attire requirements

-Chose your class, read the description for any specific requirements for that class

-Ride your test with a videographer, be sure to include a piece of paper in the beginning of the video that includes the show name, date, horse name and test you are riding 
*Please do your best to keep your video steady and only zoom when necessary*

-Upload the video to YouTube

-Add the class to your cart and check out

-Include the video link, rider status (Open, AA or JR) and your horse's name in the comments section when checking out, if you have any trouble, email your link to enydctavirtualshow@gmail.com

-If you are entering multiple classes, please include all links in the comments section or emailed in the format below :

Horse Name, Rider Status (Open, AA, JR), Test ridden: Videolink.com

-Proceed to payment, you will receive an entry confirmation and you're done!

Rules & Requirements

RECORDING RULES & REQUIREMENTS:

-Videos of the test must be unedited from start to finish. They must be one continuous recording with sound. If the sound has been removed the video will not be accepted.

-After entering the video field, prior to beginning the test, a sign must be held up showing the name of the show, date of the show, test being ridden, and the horse’s name.

-The sign must be held in the top right corner of the frame so it will not interfere with the view of the centerline for the judge. Remove the sign before the rider goes down centerline.

-Ridden tests may be submitted to ONLY ONE online show.

-Videos of a test from another competition will be eliminated. Any video suspected of having been filmed during another competition will not be scored.

-As soon as the test is finished the camera must circle the horse and rider showing equipment and attire. -The test must be videoed from C, where the judge would normally be seated.

-When possible, please stand 15’ back from C when videoing

-The test may be called.

-Coaching during the test is not allowed and will result in elimination.

-Test must ridden in a stand 20 meter by 40 meter small arena or 20 meter by 60 meter large arena with letters. See your class description for the designated size. https://useventing.com/resources/documents/Dressage_Arenas.png

-If you are entering a Breed Show class the horse must be shown on a 30 meter triangle unless otherwise designated

-If filming on a cell phone, be sure you are in landscape orientation

-Video should be uploaded to Youtube and then the link emailed to enydctavirtualshow@gmail.com or included at checkout

ATTIRE REQUIRMENTS:

-Please dress neatly, show clothes are not required but a neat top and light colored breeches must be worn. Dress as if you were going in front of a judge in person.

-Helmets are required.

-Spurs and whips must be within USEF regulation 

-Bits, bridles and saddles must be within USEF regulation (USEF Bit Rules & USEF Bridle Rules)

-Jump saddles are permitted

-No bell boots, splint boots, polos or other leg wraps unless a vet note is provided

-Martingales and other similar equipment are not permitted

ARENA REQUIRMENTS:

Dimensions for small dressage arenas must be 20X40 meters (or approximately 66 feet x 132 feet).

Dimensions for standard – or long – dressage arenas must be 20X60 meters (or approximately 66 feet x 197 feet).

Arena markers for the outer letters must be visible in the video.

BREED SHOW REQUIREMENTS:

The horse must be shown on the triangle at the walk, trot and standing as they would be in a traditional breed show. Bridles are mandatory on all horses two or older.


-Please set up a triangle as diagramed above

-Please begin the video with the horse in the frame and with a piece of paper that states the show name, show dates, class/es entered and name of the horse.

-After showing the paper please have the video circle the horse showing the horse head on for 10 seconds, from the side for 10 seconds, from the back for 10 seconds, from the other side for 10 seconds. Have the videographer move to show the apex of the triangle then proceed to walk the 15 meter triangle to the right. Be sure the video is facing the long side head on as you walk across the middle. Proceed to trot the 30 meter triangle as you reach the apex. End the video with your horse squared up at the apex of the triangle. If you have any questions please contact darianquinn94@gmail.com

-Videos created for this show may be used in multiple breed show classes, so long as the video meets all the requirements for all classes entered. (Example: A 5 year old pony carded conemarra maiden mare, handled by a JR,  may enter the maiden mare 4 y/o + class, the conemmara class, the sport pony class and the JR handler class with the same video)  

-Coaching during the test is not allowed and will result in elimination
